A writer at Foko! Moonlight has blogged for a year !

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

As I lay on my bed, glaring out the window in how suddenly the weather can change. This morning , when I opened it up to let some fresh air enter my bedroom. It seemed to be such a lovely weather. The sky was blue and the sun shining so brightly. Now , all I see, is the gray sky and a downpour. “Ouch! There it goes again.

Do you want to know what “goes again”? Read more on Moonlightgirl’s blog. The amazingly talented Moon (her name is Volana which means Moon in Malagasy) has started blogging in September 2008 with her friends at ICE club. You won’t be surprised to learn that she is writing her first novel from the short stories she generously publishes on her blog. Thank you for sharing your talent and showing the best of our country, you are the pride of Madagascar !
The reason that I love blogging is because my greatest passion is writing. With my blog I can share with the entire world my thoughts and what’s happening around me. I regretted waiting for so long to have my own blog.
I will continue blogging and never will stop.
I ‘m very proud and happy to be a member of the Foko Madagascar.
My best experience in blogging is when I wrote and took pictures about the Famadihana at Andramasina. It was an opportunity for me to share and show the world about a Malagasy custom.
Thanks FOKO

1 year of blogging, what do have to say about that Cyberlawyer?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Cyberlawyer is the Maître Eolas of Malagasy blogosphere. He blogs with a purpose and a very strong sense of ethics. This “I am crazy about English” – ICE – alumni is blogging at http://andrydago.wordpress.com/ where he shares his views on democracy and is never afraid to use the right words and shows the real big picture.

In Antaninarenina par vous

Why did you start blogging?
I have always been interested in being involved in blogging and journalism. I have already tried to launch one or two blogs but I failed in posting articles on a regular basis. Being coached by the members of FOKO was very important and helpful for me. I decided to “seriously” blog because I sincerely think that me too I have my own voice on this world. I wanted the world to know more about Madagascar.

Your best blogging experience:
My best blogging experience is, during the pro-Andry Rajoelina’s rallies in Analakely (May 13th square), being with other bloggers (Avy Lavitra, Barijaona, Stéphane, Lalatiana (my wife) and Ariel parked with other local and International journalists just in front of the main stage.

Your favourite topic?
I can’t deny it, my favourite topic is politics.

What would you say to new bloggers?
When you start your blog, never give up whatever the obstacles are. It is not easy but it is a real life experience.

Will you keep on blogging?
Now that I know that I love it, sure I will !!!!

  • patrick-and-i.jpg

Why did you start blogging?
I’ve always been interested in becoming a journalist since I love writing and sharing the way I percieve things. Joining the blogosphere helped to freely share this passion. Once I met Joan who talked about Foko’s project, I really loved the idea of talking about Madagascar then DagoTiako was born.

Your best blogging experience?
Everyday is a great experience since I’ve become a blogger cuz I always have in mind something that I could share. The greatest oneS were when I was interviewed by a journalist from Wall Street Journal, when I could join the professional journalists area during rallies in the Place du 13 Mai and just pretended to be a real one too lol, when I become friend with a lot of Malagasy bloggers that I used to know only on the net :)

Your favourite topic?
Streets of Tana… There are a lot to tell cuz there are people who don’t know about what can happen there and cuz there are other people who know but are too busy to pay attention to them.

Can you give an advice to new bloggers?
Choose a topic that you really like to share so blogging will become a wonderful passion not a “duty” :)

Will you keep on blogging?
As I said on my blog: “DagoTiako is now one year old… too young to die… so I’ll keep on” :) … so YES :)

I take this opportunity to thank again Joan, Lova, Stéfane, David, FOKO, Andry, Tahina and everyone who have helped and supported me to make this blog work.
