With 21 blogs and now more and more updates each week, it has became an necessity to “profile” our members (we’ll also put notes identifying them on our Flickr album). You can also find the tutors bio on this page (soon)and congratulate them for their tremendous work ! We’re currently training 4 groups from 3 to 10 members in each. We spent the 6 first months of FBC in blogging initiation workshop. Now that the groups are formed and trained, we’re working on developing everyone’s Citizen Media (inner) skills. We also want to thank the entire Global Voices Online and Rising Voices community for their inconditional support !!
Avec 21 blogs and de plus en plus de mise à jour, il est devenu capital de faire un profil de nos membres (nous avons essayé de les tagger sur l’album Flickr). Vous pourrez aussi trouver bitentôt la bio des tuteurs sur cette page et les féliciter du super travail qu’ils font tous ! Nos groupes sont formées de 3 à 10 membres chacun. Les 6 premiers mois du FBC étaient destinés à l’initiation au blogging. Maintenant que la plupart des membres ont obtenus les bases, nous tenterons de développer leurs talents “cachés” de Média Citoyen. Nous voulons aussi remercier les communautés de Global Voices Online et Rising Voices pour leur soutien inconditionnel!
FBC MAHAJANGA
Lomelle is a Slam Poetry aficionada who loves writing and is studying at the School of Journalism.By the end of the workshop we knew she became one of our most promising members. We have great expectations from this group since Mahanjaga region is one of the richest of the country economically and culturally. Because they are at the same level as the FBC-Toamasina, they already started to build the fundations of Foko Blog Clubs Madagascar network ! Check at their pictures on our Flickr Album.
Lomelle doutait un peu de l’importance du blogging. Cette fan du Slam adore écrire et étudie actuellement à l’école de Journalisme. Mais à la fin de l’atelier, nous savions qu’elle était devenue une des nôtres. Le groupe de Mahajanga sera le plus prometteur de tous car cette région riche économiquement et culturellement a beaucoup de choses partager. Comme les groupes de Toamasina et Mahanjaga ont débuté à peu près au même moment, nous pouvons dire que le réseau national des Foko Blog Clubs a bâti ses fondations !

FBC CPO (Club for UN)
The heads of Antananarivo high school associations have weekly meetings at UNIC (UN Informations Center) where Hery is working. Karenichia is blogging in three languages and shares her very matures reflexion on youth lifestyle in Madagascar. Pati her collegues from Jules Ferry high-school are the ones who accepted the Film your Issue challenge. With the load of school work, CPO activities and teenager life, we’re trying to find activities that will introduce them to Citizen Media. Our first try will be the Film your Issue Contest.
Les chefs des associations de lycéens d’Antananarivo ont l’habitude de se retrouber au CINU qui est aussi le lieu de travail de Hery. Karenichia bloggue dans 3 langues et partagent ses très mûres réflexions sur la vie des jeunes à Madagascar. Pati et ses amis de Jules Ferry vont participer au concours Film your Issue, une activité qui pourrait les intéresser au Média Citoyen.

FBC TOAMASINA
This new group came from a discussion between Foko and a friend of ours working at an International company based in Toamasina. We’ve heard a lot about the Ambatovy mineral project and the environmental issues . The group will also try to bring interest to the city with the help and support of the members of the English Club and Spotlight (we’ll tell more about this partnership). What we know so far from Poupoune, Lafatra and Faliniaina is that they were really motivated when blogging one their own but FOKO has promised to give a complete Citizen Media training.
Nous avons eu l’idée de créer ce groupe après avoir discuté des problèmes environnementaux que les grandes exploitations de Toamasina pourraient causer. Les membres vont donc tenter d’apporter des nouvelles avec l’aide des membres du Club d’Anglais et de Spotlight (dont nous parlerons plus tard). Ce que nous savons de Poupoune, Lafatra et Faliniaina c’est leur très grande motivation à poursuivre l’activité mais nous leur avons promis une formation complète.

FBC TANA (Antananarivo)
Avylavitra is living in a working-class neighborhood of Antananarivo. FcCandy is a 13 year-old blogger who represent the young members of Namana Serasera and is now passing her BEPC exams (National final exam for the junior high school students). She writes stories in Malagasy about funny events that occured on her way to school.
Sasa, Limahl…are also from the 30 000 Namana Serasera Community ! With members from every corner of Madagascar. What is interesting about this group is the existence of a Wordpress based plate-form completely in Malagasy (note from Joan : “I’ve improved my Malagasy just by posting at blaogy.com, so it works”). Many bloggers of blaogy.com and blaogy.org are already members of the “commenting” comitee waiting for the new bloggers.
Avylavitra nous livre un super reportage chaque semaine. FcCandy du haut de ses 13 ans prépare son examen du BEPC et rédige des anecdotes sur ce qu’elle voit en rentrant de l’école. Sasa, Limahl….font partie des 30000 membres de la communauté des Namana Serasera! Et en plus ils sont présents dans toute l’île. Les membres de notre comité de commentateurs, des bloggers pro de blaogy.com, font un super travail dans le soutien des petits nouveaux.
